New plan coasts along

A STRATEGY to help improve Blind Bight, Cannons Creek and Warneet has kicked off, with plans to implement the coastal strategy next year.
Council officers will now assess the environment, servicing, infrastructure, landscape and cultural heritage of the area to help bridge and strengthen the coastal communities.
The Casey Coastal Strategy has been contemplated for many years but it was not until the introduction of the Urban Growth Boundary and Green Wedge Zones that the council was in a position to begin finalising the strategy. At Tuesday night’s council meeting, councillors voted to adopt a study brief as a basis for the strategy.
