Invaders bring home terror

By Sarah Schwager
A CRANBOURNE man and his eight-year-old sister feared for their lives when three men barged into their home last week.
The 23-year-old man was at home just after midnight on 8 August when three men knocked on the door and demanded entry.
They made threats to the man, who agreed to let them in provided they did not injure his sister.
Police said the men entered the house armed with steel poles.
One of the men held a pole to the victim’s throat and demanded to know where to find items of value in the house while the other two men searched.
They also cut the telephone cord with a knife from the kitchen.
The men also searched a caravan in the back yard of the Camms Road property.
Police said the only item stolen was a camera.
The first man was described as 168 centimetres tall, Caucasian, of average build with black hair and a bowl haircut, wearing a white singlet and black shorts.
He also bore a scar on his right arm from the top of his shoulder to the elbow, which looked like a healed burn mark.
The second man was about 183 centimetres tall, Caucasian, solid build, with short black hair and wearing dark jeans and a hooded blue or grey jumper with a large letter “M”.
The third man was tall, thin, with short red hair and wearing a Red Bull T-shirt.
Police said two of the men returned to the house again at 5pm on Sunday in a silver car, knocked on the door and asked for the man before fleeing when his mother answered.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Senior Constable Derrick Verity at Cranbourne Police Station on 5991 0600 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
