MCHAPPY Day is set to be an event to remember in Cranbourne this Saturday as locals join in the fun and raise money for kids with illnesses.
McDonald’s Cranbourne launched the fundraising event last week with the sale of wristbands to go towards Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).
This Saturday from 11am, McDonald’s Cranbourne will be working to help raise $2 million dollars for RMHC, which supports seriously ill children and their families throughout Australia.
Celebrities, local councillors, CFA and police will be out in force to help with the fundraising efforts.
The money raised will support a home away from home at Ronald McDonald Houses, help more children get back to school through the Ronald McDonald Learning Program, free holiday accommodation at Ronald McDonald Family Retreats, and provide homely retreats within hospitals through the Ronald McDonald Family Rooms.
A dollar for every dollar raised on the day will go towards helping sick kids and their families.
