Eviction big blow

By Melissa Grant
CRANBOURNE resident and self-confessed Big Brother addict Karen Carpenter was shattered on Sunday night when her favourite housemate was booted from the reality television series.
The mother of two followed housemate Travis Perkins throughout the series after discovering he resided in Pakenham.
“I was really thrilled when I found out he lived nearby.
“There’s some connection there even though you don’t know them,” she said.
Mrs Carpenter said there was much to love about the sensitive New Age truckie (SNAT).
“I love that he is so genuine, honest and down to earth,” she said.
Mrs Carpenter said she couldn’t believe it when Travis was kicked out of the Gold Coast house during Sunday night’s double eviction.
“I really thought he would win,” she said.
“When Travis got evicted I was saying ‘no, no, no’ but I didn’t realise I was saying it aloud.
“I woke one of my kids up who came out to ask me what was wrong.”
Mrs Carpenter said she voted seven times on Sunday in a bid to keep the 32-year-old in the house.
“I voted for Travis four times to stay on Sunday and I voted to evict everyone else once,” she said.
“I can’t say I want him to win without playing the game.”
Despite Travis not making it through to Monday night’s finale, Mrs Carpenter said she was happy that Aleisha won the $450,000 prize.
“I was really going for Travis but Aleisha was my next choice to win,” she said.
Mrs Carpenter said she was hoping Travis would soon appear at the Berwick Inn Hotel.
The local hub, widely known as the Bezza, has been visited by several evictees in the past couple of months including Hayley, Emma and Berwick local Jamie McDonald.
“If Jamie and Travis catch up for a pot and parma, I’d love to join them,” Mrs Carpenter said.
