New store pulls

CRANBOURNE residents flocked to the new Aldi store at the opening day on Saturday.
As with previous launches, excited customers from both local and neighbouring areas came along to check out their new local super-market.
The opening was a noteworthy event after a hectic week for the builders. While it was a picture of perfection on the day, a few days earlier the site looked as if it might not make the big opening.
But the concrete was glistening when patrons arrived on Saturday.
An Aldi spokeswoman said the arrival of the store to Cranbourne meant that customers living in and around the area would be able to enjoy top quality at low prices week in and week out.
She said already items such as colour televisions, DVD players, outdoor furniture and cordless phones had been snapped up.
She said the store offered everything from homewares to hardware, clothing to electrical, toys to books as well as grocery items and fresh local produce.
The store is on the corner of Bakewell and Codrington streets. Opening hours are Monday to Wednesday 9am to 6pm, Thursday 9am to 8pm, Friday 9am to 8pm, Saturday 8.30am to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 6pm.
