THE footy spirit has been well and truly alive at Kilberry Valley Primary School.
To get into the true spirit of AFL finals, the school held a footy day.
Students were invited to come dressed in their footy gear.
A gold coin donation went towards the Grade 6 graduation dinner.
Special events coordinator Lisa Cain said the students had an absolute ball.
They started the day with a special footy day assembly where they got to the listen to their clubs’ footy songs and watch Kilberry Valley Primary School’s own Footy Show.
The show featured staff and students who were participating in the teachers versus students footy match at lunch time.
Unfortunately for the teachers, the students won yet again, Ms Cain said. Throughout the day, students also had the chance to participate in handball competitions, the longest kick competition and best-dressed competitions.
