Family flying out to Dylan

THE family of local boy Dylan Hartung will fly to New York to be with him this Christmas while he undergoes cancer treatment.
The seven-year-old was diagnosed with Stage IV neuroblastoma two years ago.
In November last year, a terminally ill Cranbourne man, Mick Hegedus, and his friends organised a fundraising night for Dylan at Cranbourne’s Amstel Golf Club.
Since then, support for the young Skye boy has continued with local residents busily raising money not only to keep him at a New York hospital with his mother Melissa, but to send his brother and father out there to be with them this Christmas.
Dylan’s brother Cain flew to New York two weeks ago after airfares were kindly donated, while father Tim Hartung just found out on the weekend that he would also be joining his family. He will fly out on 10 December.
Friends of the family are still fundraising for assistance with the Hartung’s mortgage repayments.
The family will have to sell their house and rent, but if they cannot make the necessary repayments before they sell they may have to file for bankruptcy.
If there are any real estate agents able to help with selling the house and finding a rental property or anyone else willing to help email dylanfund@spin.net.au.
