Thieves target new homes

THIEVES used a forklift to steal a one-tonne generator from a Cranbourne house.
Police said the yellow Coates Hire generator was stolen from the Boronia Avenue house, which is under construction, some time between 3pm on 15 July and 6am on 16 July.
A forklift was broken into and started to lift the generator on to a trailer or some other vehicle.

SEVENTEEN buckets of render were stolen from a house under construction in Lynbrook.
The theft happened between 3pm on 20 July and 8am on 21 July at the Padison Drive house.

BUILDING materials were also stolen from another house in Padison Drive, Lynbrook.
Police said 24 fluted posts worth $250 each were stolen from the house under construction.
The posts, worth a total $6000, were stored inside the house.
The thieves removed temporary fencing around the house to get a vehicle in, then kicked in the front door between 5pm on 17 July and 8am on 18 July.A MOTORBIKE stored at an old derelict house in Cranbourne South has been stolen.
The 1976 Kawasaki KE 125 motorbike was stored in the Browns Road house, which did not have any glass in the windows.
The theft happened between 12 June and 20 July.

THIEVES stole valuable items from a house in Cranbourne that was left unlocked.
A sewing machine and jewellery worth a total $1500 were stolen from the Codrington Street house between 4.30pm and 8.30pm on 18 July.
Cranbourne Police warned people not to leave their doors unlocked.
