Burglar scared off

A CRANBOURNE West man scared a burglar away after he confronted him in his home.
Police said the victim was at home about 10.30pm last Thursday when he saw someone in the dining room of his Merribah Way house.
He confronted the man, who ran outside and scaled the back fence.
Police said it appeared the offender had left without taking anything.
The man was described as of Islander appearance, with brown eyes, bushy eyebrows, dark curly hair, about 170 centimetres, solid build and wearing a blue hooded windcheater.
