A BURGLAR got more than bargained for after breaking into a Cranbourne home only to be confronted by a rottweiler dog.
The offender fled without stealing anything apparently after being attacked by the dog, which was locked in the house with its Jack Russell companion.
Police are now searching for the offender who they say was most likely bitten by the guard dog.
The incident happened between 8am and 6pm on 31 October at the Isaac Court house.
Police said no one had heard the dogs barking during the day.
Anyone with information contact Detective Senior Constable Ray Ross at Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0661.
