POLICE are appealing for witnesses who saw a car driving on the wrong side of the road south from Tooradin towards Grantville on Tuesday morning.
They are concerned as they believe the driver may have forced at least two motorbikes off the road.
Police said a 32-year-old man from Temby Point was believed to have driven a dark blue Mitsubishi Magna sedan for about 25 kilometres from Tooradin Airport to Grantville between 1am and 1.30am.
Tooradin Airport is on the South Gippsland Highway which becomes the Bass Highway towards Grantville.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed a car travelling on the wrong side of the road between these times to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.crimestoppers.com.au.
