Go for your life, says MP

CRANBOURNE sports clubs and associations have been urged to team up with Casey Council for a share in funding for grass-roots capital works projects.
The State Government’s Community Facility Funding Program contributes to the building or redevelopment of sports facilities ranging from aquatic facilities and basketball stadiums to bowling greens and playgrounds.
Cranbourne MP Jude Perera said the Government’s ‘Go for your life’ campaign aimed to get more Victorians physically active.
Councils can apply for grants for planning projects or building projects under the minor facilities, major facilities and aquatic access categories.
Through the council, organisations can obtain grants of up to $60,000 for projects with a total cost of $200,000. Grants of up to $500,000 are available for major facilities projects, $2.5 million for aquatic access and Better Pools projects and $30,000 for planning projects.
For more information call the Grants Information Line on 1300 366 356 or contact council leisure officers.
