Revved up in the rain

Six-year-old Dillon from Carrum Downs is ready to go.

THOUSANDS of people flocked to the centre of Cranbourne on Saturday 22 October for the 2016 GP Run despite the wet weather.
Motorcyclists and spectators braved the wild weather to participate in the 18th annual event that saw about a thousand riders leave Cranbourne headed for Phillip Island.
Although many of the activities that were scheduled to accompany the motorbike wave-off were cancelled, the main event went ahead without a hitch.
City of Casey Young Citizen of the Year Oliver Thomson waved the chequered flag that sent the bikes on their way and sang the national anthem for the crowd.
The event was hosted by the City of Casey and delivered in partnership with Victoria Police and the Victorian Motorcycle Council.
Star photographer Stewart Chambers went along to the GP Run to capture the action and excitement.
