Hunt resumes for car thief

Anyone who recognises the male or has any information on the incident is urged to contact police.

POLICE are trying to track down a thief who stole a car from an address in Cranbourne West on Monday 19 January.
Detective Senior Constable Angela Butler from the Casey Crime Investigation Unit said “we are still trying to find the offender”.
The male strolled into a home on Crepe Avenue through an unlocked front door and stole a silver Hyundai wagon using keys taken from inside the home.
Since the incident in January the wagon has been recovered but police have recently released CCTV images of a male they wish to speak to in the hope that someone will recognise him.
The incident occurred about 3am and a credit card that was found inside the car was used at a local fast food outlet and numerous other stores in the Melbourne CBD area.
Anyone who recognises the male or has any information on the incident is urged to contact the Casey Crime Investigation Unit on 9705 3114 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
